Welcome to Enemy Soil

To all of our Jedi Mind Tricks and Army of the Pharaohs fans, welcome to the new venture…Enemy Soil. We could bore you with industry-speak on what Enemy Soil represents, but if you want to read about that you can check out the “About” section of this site.

To put it simply, Enemy Soil is a natural extension of more than a decade’s worth of blood, sweat, and tears that we’ve invested into Jedi Mind Tricks. All of the mistakes made, lessons learned, and successes earned as part of JMT are now part of the fabric of Enemy Soil. We’re not a record label in the traditional sense, because, honestly, record labels tend to do a good job serving a small segment of artists, but have generally failed at helping a broader swath of independent-minded artists develop sustainable careers. Enemy Soil is a new music company for the new music business with a focus on artist management, marketing, and music distribution. More simply, we hope to be a part of creating some great new music while continuing to associate ourselves with groundbreaking artists.

On that note, besides the Jedi Mind Tricks and Army of the Pharaohs camps, we’re working with a great initial roster of artists and projects, some of whom we’ve had a long history with like Reef the Lost Cauze, Dutch, Jus Allah, Outerspace, and DJ Kwestion, who stand alongside new additions to the Enemy Soil team like the venerable microphone master, Mr. Lif, and the up-and-coming producer, C-Lance.

We want to thank all of those artists for joining us at our launch and for believing in what we’re trying to build through Enemy Soil. And, last but definitely not least, we want to thank all of our longtime Jedi Mind Tricks and Army of the Pharaohs fans for your relentless support of our music for the first thirteen years of our collective careers. It’s because of your passion for what we do that we’ve decided to launch a new company like Enemy Soil at a time when many people in the music business are abandoning what they feel is a sinking ship.

Long ago, we ignored the music industry executives who said we would never sell as Jedi Mind Tricks. Thanks to you guys, we defied their predictions of our potential. We don’t measure our success by Billboard chart positions; we measure our success by the only thing that matters to us…you. Without your passion and support for all the music we’ve created over the years, none of this is possible, so we hope that all of you will join us for this ride as we embark on a new mission as Enemy Soil.
